About

A business finance brokerage that runs a business too.

Chorus Commercial is the business finance side of Chorus Finance, a Brisbane brokerage based in Stafford Heights. Zach founded the practice. He has worked in mortgage and business finance broking since 2020, holds an MBA in Finance and owns and runs Prova Pizzeria in Brisbane. He also has experience buying small businesses such as cafés, restaurants and nail salons, so the questions you have before a purchase are ones he has asked himself.

How we work

We look at what repayments the business can afford, not only what a lender will approve.

Sometimes that means recommending less than a lender offers, or waiting. We tell you before we approach a lender, and sometimes the right answer is to stay with your bank.

Most delays in business finance come from evidence: an out-of-date return, a lease with a short term left, a project budget with a cost left out. We read the numbers the way a lender will, tell you what is missing and, with your permission, talk to your accountant directly so you are not asked the same question twice.

Arranging finance is one service. Advice on the price, the debt and the funding plan is a separate, paid service for business clients, with the scope and fee agreed before work starts. It is advice about the business, not the arranging of a loan, so it is not credit assistance. For depreciation schedules, accounting and tax advice, and legal advice, we bring in partners or refer you to them. Chorus does not give that advice itself.
